Global IIT Alumni meet: Special Focus on Women Alumni

California: For the fifth consecutive year the global alumni meet is going to bring IITians together from July 6-8, 2007 in California. The keynote speakers include luminaries like senator Hillary Clinton, Arun Sarin, the CEO of Vodaphone, Jeff Immelt, CEO of General Electric and around 4000 alumni are expected to participate in the event.
This year, the conference is focusing on the theme 'transforming the world through technology'.Apart from initiating discussions and debate on some social and economic issues, the event is expected to rebuild old bonds, create new friendships and encourage networking with fellow alumnus, faculty and family.
Sensing the strong need for networking among the women alumni of IIT, the first ever women alumni meet in the history of IIT is also being organized in California on 5th July 2007. The women alumnus from around the world will meet and discuss their ideas on technology and leadership among women. The meet will explore the opportunities and barriers women encounters in their daily life. The need for appropriate mentoring and networking for technologically oriented women will be the main focus of discussion. The meet is expected to lead to the formation of a networking organization for women
