IISc global conference in Santa Clara

Bangalore: IISc Alumni Association of North America (IISc AANA) is organizing Indian Institute of Science Global Conference on June 22 at Marriott Hotel, Santa Clara, California.
The conference that spans for three days aims to strengthen alumni relationships, building a global platform for interactions between the Institute, alumni, industry and academia, and initiating such collaborations in six specific areas via workshops. In keeping with the key theme of collaboration, speakers and participants from the UC system, the TiE organization, the Pan-IIT organization and industrial behemoths such as Applied Materials, TCS, Google, Satyam, among many others will be there at the conference.
Through its 100-year history, IISc has produced about 30,000 alumni worldwide, of which it is estimated that about 5000 are in the US, including several hundred in the Bay area.
The program will also have six parallel sessions on Knowledge Sciences, Information  Communication, Computers and Technology, Biotechnology and Health Care, Nanotechnology and Materials, Energy and the Environment, and Aerospace and Automotive Technologies. Each session that is expected to be highly interactive is organized by subject matter experts from the US and India.
