DSIIDC to help set up IT Corp in capital
New Delhi: The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp (DSIIDC) will help to set up the IT Corporation of Delhi.
Announcing this, DSIIDC managing director Jalaj Shrivastava said the corporation would be the implementing agency in the formation of the IT Corp in line with a cabinet decision taken by the Delhi government.
This is just one of the many prestigious tasks DSIIDC will be undertaking in the coming times.
At a recent function to mark the company's achievements, Delhi Industry Minister Mangat Ram Singhal paid fulsome tributes to the corporation, which was founded in 1971.
Singhal announced that the Delhi government wanted DSIIDC to build more and more houses for the economically weaker sections. He said some African countries had invited DSIIDC to build good quality houses at economic rates.
This follows the successful execution of DSIIDC's housing project in the sprawling industrial estate at Bawana in Delhi.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has announced that 40,000 such houses would be built in Delhi by DSIIDC for the weaker sections before the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The project has won National award-Awas Ratna Award.
