DaimlerChrysler to launch ‘Actros’ in India

MUMBAI: Vehicle maker DaimlerChrysler is to launch its “Actros” commercial vehicle in India during the first six months of the year, according to the company statement..
Announcing this, DaimlerChrysler India’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wilfried Aulbur, “The Actros range is likely to hit the markets within the first half of this year.”
The announcement was made as the company unveiled the latest edition of the Mercedes S-Class and M-Class for the Indian market. The report said that the Actros range would be imported as completely built units.
The company was also looking at potentially moving into the luxury bus market in India. Though DaimlerChrysler is interested in the bus market but have not taken any decision yet, Aulbur said.
