This is a significant year for Texas Instruments Inc. globally, as the company celebrates its 75th anniversary and has listed its stock on the NYSE for 50 years.

Tom Engibous, Chairman of Texas Instruments attending TI India’s 20 anniversary celebrations in its campus in Bangalore said, "The people of TI India have changed the face of India. Twenty years ago, this nation’s role in electronics and information technology primarily was as an exporter of engineers." "Texas Instruments was the first international technology company to recognize the potential value of working with engineers from India in India. TI dared to try it, and the results have been remarkable. In many ways, the growth of India's electronics capabilities has paralleled the growth of TI India’s capabilities," he added.

Dr. Biswadip Mitra, Managing Director of Texas Instruments India reiterated," Completing twenty years of operations in India is indeed a momentous occasion for us. We have a highly motivated team, working on cutting-edge technology that has resulted in breakthrough products for our customers worldwide." "What TI is in India today is a result of a very unique evolution that has helped us move up the value-chain, from a beginning in developing EDA tools and supporting global projects out of India, to being seen as the beacon for the Indian semiconductor industry.

Moving forward, our thought and technology leadership will help us play a key influencing role in shaping the future of the electronics eco-system," he added.

The twenty-year celebrations will unfold a series of new initiatives & events in the year to come.
