24/7 to invest $9 million in BPO facility

24/7 Customer, a leading customer support services and solutions provider plans to set up a business process outsourcing (BPO) centre in the city with an investment of $9 million.

HYDERABAD: The facility, spread over 20,000 sq feet, will be operational from next week. The centre, which will initially house 300 professionals, will be established with a start-up investment of $2 million, PV Kannan, CEO of 24/7 Customer said. The company, which is presently operating in the Hitex complex, will invest $7 million to complete the centre’s second phase by this year-end. On completion, the facility will provide a total capacity of 700 seats capable of supporting 20,000 agents over three shifts, said Kannan. The Hyderabad centre will provide quality support services including financial services, entertainment, hospitality and cable TV network, said Kannan. The company has received a $22 million funding from venture capitalist enterprise Secura to further its support services set up in the country, company officials said. It has a 20 per cent stake in Secura.
