#12 Sara Sperling, for making Facebook a great place to work for everyone

Sara Sperling is head of community engagement at Facebook and leads the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts. She is the person behind installing Zuckerbergs ideal about how Facebook enables people to have an authentic identity at the company. It is her efforts that 450 Facebook employees took part in this year's San Francisco Gay Pride Parade, up by 50 percent than the previous year. Thanks to her that Facebook campus now includes unisex bathrooms to help transgender employees to feel comfortable.

In May this year, GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, felicitated Facebook with Special Recognition Award at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
