Bangalore: A flurry of Mobile applications have been ruling the roost among mobile users of late. The popularity of these applications, especially those that run on Android platform are ever on the increase. There is an application for anything and everything. However, there are also a few applications that could land you in trouble at your work, and more so if you are issued a Smartphone or device by your company.
A study by Sonja Thompson of techrepublic lists 10 potentially harmful softwares which should be avoided altogether in office or business phones at work place. Downloading the applications on your business mobile could create problems leading to you being fired from your job. Watch out against these applications!
1. Weed Farmer
Weed Farmer is advanced marijuana growing online game which allows you to grow virtual weed from seed to harvest. The game is described as "much more than a virtual plant growing application," in its website. This online game lets you chat with other farmers and share harvest tips. Your office might not be the best place for online gaming, and if your employer does random drug screening, this application might be the perfect catalyst. Make sure that your game life does not intrude into your real life and damage your career.
It is equally recommended to restrain from downloading other applications like Nose Candy that highlight illegal drugs.
