BANGALORE: IBM India's 'Express Mela', a customer outreach programme, will be rolled out in 100 cities and towns across the country. The programme is one of the largest initiatives undertaken by an IT vendor to target smaller towns and cities in India, an IBM statement said on Thursday. Through this programme, IBM will promote, along with its business partners, 'Express versions' of eServer xSeries (Intel-based servers), ThinkCentre Multimedia PCs and ThinkPad Notebooks, software, storage, servers and services that are specially designed for Small and Medium Businesses, the statement said. These products are easy to install and are competitively priced, according to IBM. The programme will be rolled out in a phased manner across various cities and towns targeting up to 20 cities per week, the statement added.
