Colin Cowdrey was a renowned English cricketer who played test cricket for England from 1954 to 1975. He was the first cricketer to play 100 test matches, with a record for most runs and most catches in Test series.
Colin Cowdery was born in Bangalore in British India on 24 December 1932. He was named Micheal Colin Cowdrey by his father so that he has the same initials as the most famous cricket club then, the Maryebone Cricket club.

Merle Oberon
Merle Oberon was an Anglo Indian actress who began her film career in British film industry with the role of ‘Anne Boleyn’ in ‘The Private Life of Henry VIII’. She traveled to the United States after the success in ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ in 1934 to work with Samuel Goldwyn. Her performance in ‘The Dark Angel’ got her nominated for the Academy Award’ in 1935.
Merle Oberon was born in Bombay in British India on 19 February 1911. Her birth name, as per some sources was Estelle Merle O’Brien Thompson.
