Land Worth Rs 500 Crore Reclaimed in Bangalore

Bangalore :  Bangalore district authorities instigated a colossal an ambush against land encroachers across all five Taluks and recovered more than 100 acres of government land valued at Rs 500 crore in distinctive parts of its jurisdiction.

The biggest attack was in East Bangalore at Kannur in Bidarahalli Hobli where 40 individuals had encroached upon 100 acres of pasture land (Gomala) in survey number 50, who were illegitimately running a stone crushing factory. Besides setting up a factory, they have developed a quarry to extort granite stones and constructed a number of sheds for employees.

It is determined that the 50 acres of land was given to the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and 20 acres to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The Bangalore district authorities have identified Ganesh, Marimuthu and Lokanath among others as the encroachers due to its vicinity to the Kempegowda International Airport, this piece of land is considered to have high assessment.

To ensure no law and order problem during the entire action heavy police arrangement was made and the Superintendent of Police of Anti-Encroachment Task Force Zaafar Mirani was also there. The entire land was recovered in the existence of Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Urban District V Shankar, Additional Commissioner R Venkatachalapathi, Assistant Commissioner Lakshmamma and Tahsildar Harish Naik.

In North Bangalore, the Bangalore authorities’ reclaimed the possession of five acres and 24 guntas of government land in survey number 24 of Shivakote village under Hesarghatta Hobli from nine individuals who formed illegal layouts, which were in a bid to sell sites of an additional Taluk. Some of them were cultivating some cash crops in some portion of the land. By viewing these illegalities Tahsildar Valappa Handigunda served notices on them and expelled them on Friday.

The Bangalore North Taluk authorities led by tahsildar Shivappa Lamani evicted infringement of half an acre of Karaab land in survey number 102 of Chikkabanavara village in Yashwanthapura Hobli. On the government land some individuals had constructed houses and rented them out. After serving the notices, the infringement was evicted.

The Bangalore South Taluk authorities, headed by Tahasildar Dr. Dayanand ruined a clamor of illegal layout developers in Ramohalli and C Gollahalli. A former Taluk Panchayath President Krishnappa had developed illegal layouts and offering each for Rs 25 Lakh by generating phony documents, claim a press note issued by the Taluk Officials. As a result, criminal proceedings would be started against Krishnappa and others for their illegalities.

The Anekal Taluk Tahsildar Anil Kumar reclaimed that; three acres and 20 guntas of lake land in survey number 124 of Mayasandra village of Attibele Hobli where encroachers were operating a nursery.
