DDA Mega Housing Scheme 2014 - Flats for all Income Groups

New Delhi : The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which functions under the Union Urban Development Ministry, rolled out its major housing scheme on Monday, Sep 1st 2014. Total 25,034 flats are being offered across various categories. This Scheme has officially launched by assured delivery of quality flats to people, the DDA vice chairman, Balvinder Kumar in New Delhi.

About the DDA Housing Scheme:

Biggest DDA Housing scheme has offered an overall of 25,034 flats ranging from various categories like 1 BHK, 2 BHK and 3 BHK.

The large chunk of flats 22,627 out of 25,034 are 1 BHK flats with kitchen, bathroom and drawing room are to be found generally in areas like Dwarka, Narela and Rohini where many other flats also located in Jasola, Vasant, Kunj, Kalyan Vihar, Motia Khan and Mukherjee Nagar. The price ranges between rs 14-22 for the 1BHK flat, Rs 41-69 Lakh for 2 BHK Flat and rs 1.2 crore for 3 BHK flat. Moreover, there are 700 flats for economically weaker sections which priced around rs 5.87 Lakh to rs 9.9 Lakh.

For the first time DDA has introduced 5 year lock in period which means buyers cannot sell their flat at least till 5 years and to slice out middlemen and diminish the scope of exploratory buying.

Considered as the biggest ever flagship scheme was opened at 9.30 am on Sep 1st and the last date of submitting form will be October 9. The offer is open to all citizens who do not own a house in New Delhi, Delhi or Delhi Cantt area individually or jointly. The draw will be conducted 15-20 days; the scheme will be open for 40 days nearly.

Highlights of the DDA housing scheme:

  • DDA housing scheme offers housing for all income groups from low to high, to meet the capital’s shortfall of housing.
  • Any Indian citizen who does not own a property in Delhi is allowed to apply for a flat.
  • DDA offers 700 flats for EWS category, which are part of the housing complex at Swatantra Bharat Mills premises on Rohtak Road.
  • The flats have been developed by a private builder as a part of a memo of Understanding (MoU) signed between the DDA and the private builder.
  • The unsuccessful applicant’s registration amount will be refund within 15-20 days, precisely, after the draw of lots.
  • There is no ceiling on income for any category except economically weaker sections.
  • For EWS category, there will also be an option to pay the price of flats in installments.

  • Application forms available from 1st Sep to 6th Sep – fee rs150
  • List of Banks where applications are accepted - Axis Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation bank, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Union Bank of India, Indusind Bank, Syndicate Bank, SBI, PNB, HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
  • Applicants must not acquire any property in Delhi before in their own name or any other family members.
  • rs 1 Lakh registration for general and rs 10000 for EWS
  • Applicant age should be more than 18 years at the time of filling the application.
  • Documents required – Pan Card and Aadhaar card.
