Another Illegal conversion of land in Bangalore

Bangalore : Recently, Bangalore authority took an initiative and started to get rid the land scams by recovering the government land from encroachers in distinctive parts of Bangalore, even though again there is a repetition of land scam in Bangalore around the Bannerghatta Biological Park.

On Wednesday, Nagarika Hakku Horata Samiti (Citizens rights protection committee) Bangalore convenor Dinesh Kallahalli suspected a colossal land scam around the Bannerghatta Biological Park in Anekal Taluk from green zone to yellow zone in the conversion of 1200 acres of land. He additionally said; politicians and authorities of the town planning departments are also involved in this multi crore land scam.

At press meets, Dinesh released the related documents on the issue and avowed that the last August Chief Minister had signed an order converting 1200 acres of land around the Bannerghatta Park from the green zone to yellow zone against the high court. Pointing out the purpose behind the press meet at Mysore as its CM’s native district; Dinesh said immense debasement is included in the conversion.

Although the high court recommended preparing a master plan for the area to Karnataka government, the authorities have cofounded the order to their benefit and convinced the chief minister to sign for the conversion order, he said. he again added that; “I strongly believe there is an involvement of high position politicians including chief minister in this scam” he avowed, including that chief minister is not adolescent to sign in the conversion order without knowing the crux of the issue and matter included in it.

Dinesh revealed the developer involvement in the scam by telling that the builders have acquired the land from the farmers at low cost and paid around Rs 18 and 75 Lakh to the authorities on per acre of land. He alleged “More than Rs 300 crore has changed hands” and if the builders start their project there will be effect on River Pinnakini. 

Dinesh said “I am going to discuss with the lawyers on whether to move toward the Lok Ayuktha or high court looking for a CBI investigation into the outrage and soon I will take a proper decision on the issue and approach the appropriate authority".
