2012's Most Expensive Realty Deals in India

2. Lodha Group



Property deal: 2725 crore



Where: Mumbai



Lodha Developers has finally acquired the prime land deal of 17-acre from DLF, a major realty player in India. Realty developer DLF had purchased this 17-acre land parcel from National Textile Corporation for 703 crore, in 2005. In August, Lodha Group had entered into this property deal with DLF, after paying 500 crore as advance money. Recently, Lodha has closed this land deal for whopping 2725 crore, which is much higher than the price paid by DLF in 2005. Until now, this property deal is the most expensive deal in India in 2012.



3. Sudhir and Samir Mehta



Property deal: 111 crore



Where: New Delhi



The residential real estate sector has made a new record with 10 lakh per yard for a bungalow sale on Dharam Marg in Chanakyapuri. LBZ is one of the most expensive residential localities in India which is home to several prominent figures. Sudhir and Samir Mehta of Ahmedabad-based drug-to-power firm, Torrent Group has brought the bungalow close to Lutyens Bungalow Zone (LBZ) for whopping 111 crore. Spread on 1112.4 square yards plot, this expensive bungalow is located close to the American Embassy in Delhi. It is said that the bungalow sale in this price bracket is recorded as the most expensive property deal in the city.
