Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I am AM -QA, belongs to a middle class family from New Delhi married to a professional teacher with a 4 year old kid. My mom is a house-wife and dad is retired from DLF Universal limited. I have a younger brother working as a Sr. Executive - Logistics and Supply Chain management. A small cute FAMILY

A Fine Balance:
The right work-life balance is different for every individual, a company policy or program cannot create it or manage it. Each individual must do that for him or herself, working with a boss that has the right leadership mindset and skill set as well.
Plans for the Future
I will be completely leading the product QA practice group in Product Engineering Services group in current organization.
Areas for the Future
There are 2 broad lines of specialization - Automation & Manual. Automation QA engineer needs more knowledge about diff automation tools & scripting where as manual QA engineer need in-depth knowledge of product&domain.With current trend in industry, the product QA engineer will need to possess both
Most Important Decisions
I decided to take product QA testing as my career path and got to work on most challenging projects & this experience helped me to take up higher roles and responsibilities.Choosing Scientific product system QA as a career path has proved to be the most important & correct decision.
Changes in the industry
At that time, the only goal used to be: completing the allocated tasks by the seniors. Now, I'm responsible for managing overall account & executing various QA projects as Asst.QA manager and responsible for my team members work & also for the timely delivery of QC activities.

Its my Boss - from whom I have learnt a lot and following his footsteps towards my success in the current organization.
Most Important Lessons
• There is no short cut for hard work
• One cannot climb the ladder of success without having support from subordinates
•To excel in any role you have to excel in your duties and also execute some part of your superiors duty
• You will definitely move ahead if you are dedicated & focused to achieve
The Journey So Far
I started my carrier in 2003as Jr.Associate in sister concern of Wipro.Then I got a chance to work with Q3 Tech as a QA engnr (since its inception),Worked on diff projects and now its been 7 years I am associated with this comp and currently working as a Asst. Manager - QA.
Essential Advice
Sky is the limit for a person working in QA domain. There are various lines of career in this domain as - Automated/Manual engineer, support, training, Performance tester etc... Keep updated with the new automation technologies and keep working harder and start thinking out-of-the-box to be best!
Degrees that Matter
I have not done any certifications as such. But the in-house training programs & on the job training has helped me in my professional life. People, who desire to take up QA as career, should certainly go for certification in automation tools like UI automation, load test automation etc...
