Education and teaching background
A graduate in electrical engineering from REC Calicut (Presently NIT-C) and MBA from Madras University. Currently doing PhD in Marketing at CUSAT. Attended FDP at IIM Ahmedabad.
Teaching MBA – Marketing subjects for the past ten years after twenty years in industry, mostly in Marketing.
Effective methods
A teacher must first be a learner. Today’s students have access to much more information, especially market related, and the sessions must be made interactive. Teacher should strive to make the class live and let the students feel confident and comfortable to share what they think. Take the class beyond the text.
Family background
My wife is a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NIT Calicut and presently a professor in an engineering College.
Daughter completed Civil Engineering and working with a construction company.
Son currently is in 12th and prefers to take-up engineering line.
Advice to students
Learn to accept rejections and failures gracefully.
Future students and hiring companies
Make the classes thinking class rooms. Challenge your class mates and teachers with well prepared and well thought of ideas.
Develop the habit of reading from multiple sources. Never form opinions based on one view point.
