Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

My father is a retired accountant and mother is domestic engineer, they live in Chennai.I have two elder brothers and both are married and settled in Chennai. I wish to spend time with my family when ever I get leave at office since my work location is Bangalore.

Points of inflection

The Shift to Testing/Quality Team from a development team in Wipro Technologies was the inflection point in my career because I need to make up my mind for shifting the domain. But I got it as no option, So I had accepted the challenge and realised myself that I can excel in testing/quality as well

Role Model

Denis Ritchie is the one who always inspires me from the time I learnt computers Because the way he dedicated his life for Programming is unbelievable. I am one among few who twitted about his laurel when he died. I read his book "C Programming Language" & that's the time I saw him as my Role Model.

Essential Advice

QA/Testers are one who see things which developers don't see :) , Please keep this as Mantra for challenging your career and grow higher. You must be more creative and thinking out of box when you take up this Testing Role, No Software can reach customer unless Testers stamps it "Good to Go"

A Fine Balance:

Work life Balance can be handled in a very simple formula, You need to be very disciplined and properly planned your work items during office timing. Be regular and punctual to avoid any late night works. Take adequate break/vacation to spend time with your family (away from work).

Areas for the Future

Mobile Testing Automation would become the most needed and demanding Specialization in future because we have different landscape for mobile production. We need to have harmonized way of testing Mobile/ Mobile Apps in this environment. This is going to reduce manual effort in huge.Looks for this R&D

The Journey So Far

I started my career during 2000 while I was studying. While studying, I was also working as Faculty in Computer Labs.I joined Botree in 2002 as VB Developer then moved to Wipro as Testing/Development lead in 2003.Later joined SAP India as MicroSoft consultant in 2007,Now Leading the Mobile Team here

Parting thoughts

Please don't decide your future by seeing your current/initial assignments or project you are put in. IT industry is place of mystery and magic. Anytime you end up doing best work/challenging work in software space. Please continue your hard/smart work for that to happen. Don't limit your self.

Currently working at

Currently I am leaving the Mobile Space in my organisation, I am responsible for bringing the right mobile application to my audience. Understanding the framework and architecture is key role for me along with business side. It is basically technical and functional job with latest adoption of mobile

Plans for the Future

I see myself owning the team in mobile space for larger business side and stronger architectural mastering within organisation. Also leading team of Innovation in Mobile area. Ideas to be converted into solution in my team with possible best way in Software industry.Aim of Heading mobile team global

Most Important Lessons

Don't say YES when you have to say NO. This is the first and foremost lesson I learnt my professional life. Fight for your rights, it always won't happen that you get best for what you do. Try creating visibility in organisation else you will be lost in crowd. Learn new things and try adding values

Most Important Decisions

Choosing Software industry itself is a big career decision which I have made. Because I am not working here for Job/monitory purpose, Instead I made my hobby as Job and enjoying every time I code/develop/design/test. I never felt tired when I do my work sine I enjoy and do it.Pls don't join IT 4 $.
