Family Background
My father was in the business of civil construction and mother was housewife. I am married with two childeren.Wife runs an exclussive buttique from home, elder son is in Canada doing his masters in engineering and younger son in 12th standard and plays tennis.
Contribution to the field
I am in the area of management education.Current university I am working is only for women and has good infratructure. But I shall be joing a very reputed university in the south with international tie ups. I am supposed to lead the B-school to greater hights. It should be a challenging assignment.
Future prospect
I want to see myself in a situation where I am able to lead,drive and guide a constantly increasing group of people who are engaged in changing the lives of people through education, training, councelling and afterall guiding and motivating them. They are the change agents for the society.
Role in an organization
I am presently haeding the management faculty,guiding around 20 dedicated and well qualified teachers. we,together are handling 240 MBA students and 20 Ph D scholars. We are publishing research papers and have our own research journal.We have created a very stimulating learning enviornment here.
Branding
Very important and vital job. But needs lots of thinking, correct focussing and we must clearly see

A good business school for women only environment.

We dont have a sales force as such.

Undrestanding the needs of the customers and trying whole heartedly to fulfil them. Support of top management and having a team spirit.
Importance of Marketing
To succeed in current hyper competetive environment, the whole organisation should be customer focussed. But the marketers should play a vital role of interfacing and coordinating betwen the organisation and the customers.They must truly reprent the customers to the organisatin and vice versa.
Importance of sales
Sales team is also important as they are the frontline interface and are essential team for an organizatin.
Future trend
unfortunately, we all are into selling; not much marketing is done. Products are made, targets are given and we better achieve this or else! There is a tremendous stress to push sells which are failing. but smart and well experinced firms are into marketing , going deeper into the customers mind.
Marketing
It is digging into customers' mind. finding their needs, wants and demands and trying to fulfill them better than our competitors. We have to deliver more value at a lower cost to our target customers.Value has many components besides products and cost also includes not only monetory costs.
Importance of On line marketing
Its becoming very inportant as most customers, particularly the new-gen young customers are very net shavy.Online marketing delivers better value by reducing customers search cost, they get better pruducts as a result of wide and in depth search. but customer confidence building is necessory here.
