Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
My Dad is a chartered accountant and my Mom is a house wife. We came to Botswana in the year 1990. I have schooled in Botswana. I graduated in India and came to Botswana to work.
Growth Strategy:
Everyday is a new day, we learn from our past experiences,friends and colleagues. One thing is for sure in the I.T. industry, your qualifications compliments/enhances your resume. Though you have 'n' number of years as work-ex.
The Journey So Far:
I started working as a trainee and remained a trainee for almost 3 years. I learnt a lot during these times. Slow growth and long term commitments with the DCDM consulting has worked for me.
Done Differently:
to start my career in the same line as I am, then I will consider work only after my masters degree to enable me to be more competitive.
The Decisions That Matter
I am still to make decisions but not radical as such, but teaching is one of the options I might consider.
Advice For New Professionals:
Market research gives you a lot of edge. In today's market it is often noted that if a candidate is selected in Wipro for oracle platform then he/she specialize in that, switching to a different technology after sometime in the same company gives a lot of boost to your c.v. and exposure levels.
Job Profile:
I am an oracle DBA and pl/sql programmer with 5 years of work experience. I support and maintain a national application/software which is web enabled.
