Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
Homemaker wife, and two smart kids, aged 8 and 6 make up my family.
The Decisions That Matter
Joining IT was a major important career decision I made, sometime in 1995. I moved from being an accounts executive to Data Entry Operator. The second decision was in 1997 when moved into Software Development. The third decision was in 2003, when i moved into Software Testing.
Plans For The Future:
I am passionate about teaching. In about 10 years from now, my aim is to get into teaching profession and contribute to the society.
Contribution to the field
Environment which supports growth and provides a ladder to many a college graduates.
Working Life Management:
I have a clear distinction of my working time and my personal life. I never let it mix. Never take work home has been one of my major mottos in life.
Job Profile:
I play the role of a Project Manager for automation testing team at my organisation. My job profile includes project management, technical support, presales support, training, for various automation tools being used in my org.
The Journey So Far:
I am more of a technical person, having been hands-on in various programming languages.
Career Profile:
I have been playing the same role for the past nine odd years, in the last four organisations i have been associated with.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
I am proud of the fact that I have always tried to be a jack of all tools, and master of none, but for the past few years, have been able to utilize my technical skills in a specific stream of automation tools implementation.
Role Model:
Various leaders during my association with various organisations have always inspired me to dream big and reach it too. These leaders have been my role model and always will be.
Advice For New Professionals:
Stay, learn and proceed is what I would like to suggest the younger workforce entering the IT fray .
