Ensuring Success
I keep my mind open and allow wind to blow from all sides. I actively search for new ideas and examine them for suitably adapting for further growth. Encourage your colleagues to develop themselves and present their views for implementation when needed and possible. Combine technology with the content and make them interesting to the consumers.

Current work profile
Presently I am rendering my services as Honorary Director of HM. Patel Career Development Centre spearheading country’s largest Personality Development Programme with 15000 + students under one umbrella. The students belong to institutions of higher and technical education run by Charutar Vidya Mandal, Vallabh Vidyanagar. The training is to improve their employability skills.
There is total freedom in designing training modules and methodology for implementation. Our emphasis is on interactive training with use of audio – visual technology.

Advice to upcoming leaders
As a leader , have empathy for your team. Define reality and tell the members of the team ‘Thank You’ at the right time. The team should know how much you care. We must also remember that, things that get rewarded and appreciated, get done. You get the best efforts from the team, not by firing them but building a fire within.
Handling Office disputes
Lend your ear to the grievance and after analyzing give correct advise , always trust the people to do right thing.
Managing personal and professional life
Prepare strategy after wide and open discussions with all the stakeholders. Lead from the front. Offer the team members an idea to suggest a solution to problems that a member is facing , and clarify the confusion by discussion. Monitoring of the work in progress is a must. If the desired growth and strength are not achieved, find out the weakness in internal wiring of your team. You can work harder, but team will not succeed, if people’s attitude is not correct.
Corrective measure can be zero tolerance of negativity. Imparting training to the persons who lack needed skill sets. Key to success is improving team dynamics by getting rid of persons who undermine your team’s success. Train and promote only those who perform.

Important career decisions
The decisions were made not by elaborate planning but finding the best way in a situation I was placed.
Essential skills required for leaders
First of all have faith in yourself. Develop an idea and formulate a vision for growth of your organisation. You must convert human resources at your command and build them into a team.


More about me
Reading and trying to adopt new ideas when possible. Trying to help people whenever I can. I don’t seek publicity actively.

My family background
I come from a lower middle class family based in small village. Only thing which helped is belief of my parents in educating the children in spite of several difficulties. Strong links with the family members were helpful.

My inspiration
Sardar Patel and Gandhiji at ideological level. Sardar worked with total devotion and practicing without preaching. He converted Gandhi’s ideological weapon to a practical tool. They put faith in the person entrusted with a particular responsibility or a task.
On practical front , it is Principal Junnarkar of the engineering college where I studied. And in the working , the previous boss Mr. H.M.Patel for providing a flexible and motivating atmosphere for work. The present boss Dr. C. L. Patel for his vision of continuous growth and courage in taking risk and achieving the goals he has set for himself.
My prospective towards India Technological development
The education system which lays emphasis on rote learning is responsible for the present situation. It is time that attitude of analysis and coming to appropriate decisions is embedded in the education system. While we may adopt modern technology and thoughts we must be firmly rooted in the traditional wisdom, civilization and culture of our country.
