Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

I am from a middle-class family where education has been the backbone for development.My father is retired and my mother is a school teacher. My elder brothers are both software professionals.

Currently working at

As a Business Development Manager at Author-it Software Corporation, my responsibilities include (but not be limited to):
* Regional Business and Sales Development (primarily in South Asia)
* Working as an Author-it Product Engineer for Author-it Cloud and Enterprise Content Management systems.

Role Model

I do not have any role model as such but I get inspired to read accomplishments of folks who have persevered a lot in their career and has a go-to-attitude.

Most Important Decisions

Deciding to move into a sales and business development role is one challenging decisions that I took for I was a much accomplished doc professionals. But besides the challenges that sales role offers and its demands, I think I made the right decision.

Plans for the Future

I see myself as a Director leading an entire sales division in APAC in next 5 years.

Most Important Lessons

Always be a learner, never quit, remain humble and help others to grow.

Essential Advice

Get prepared to delve into the insights of QA and ready to accept the challenges.And of course so have some skills in languages as it is very much required.

Points of inflection

One has been the marketing and sales point for Author-it Cloud; we did not have much grounds in India with Cloud enterprise documentation and to see that now a lot of the folks are talking and evaluating about it makes me happy. The adage Document is dead is so true.

The Journey So Far

After completing my MBA in Information Technology I decided to pursue my passion in writing. I worked for couple of major companies like Infosys and have been actively involved in the STC India Chapter with being its president in 2011. I now work as Business Development Manager for Author-it Corp.
