Brief Description about me
I born and brought up in Chennai. I did my Engg in Mechnical Stream. Post engineering degree, I managed to get into core companies like Tata Chemicals, Thermax, Larsen & Toubro, Alstom and presently Nuvia India Pvt Ltd at New Delhi. I do have 7.2 years of Experience after my Engineering. My role with Thermax and Larsen & Toubro was unique, as it was the Green Field Projects. In both companies I managed lot of work as well as people. It was the awesome experience to work with Green Field projects as one can see the Baby (Company) growing in front of your eyes. I managed GET’s and Diploma Trainee’s in all my experience. Being mentor to the freshers also great challenge as they are in the transit phase from Professional degree to Professional Roles. The best part is,one can learn a lot from the freshers, as they don’t have any preset mindset on any aspect. I learned a lot of behavioral skills from my juniors.

Challenges in Job
During my 7 years of Experience I feel, Manpower management is the most challenging task I have faced. Any technical Problems / issues can be solved by set of procedures and guidelines. But, during conflicts, it’s very difficult to convince other person to resolve the issues. Technical problems have set of behaviors and well predictable, which is not in the case of human behaviors.
As I grow in value chain of professional life, it is more important to have been faced different kind of people and problems. I consider this to be the greatest ever learning I can get it.

Thing that made my job easier
Absolutely I must thank software's for making my life easier. Every role which I handled till now has unique software's. Be it Auto Cad or Adobe or MS Office or Primavera or MS Projects..etc., definitely software's have greatest advantage for a person in the work. In fact, Software knowledge gives advantage during job changes.
Upcoming Trends
The World Economy is struggling to revive. Initially it was US recession and now Euro Crisis. It is evident that our world economy is very fragile. It’s time to look back at our basics. Where did we started and where we missed links which leads to recession today.  Its fact, India is facing the heat of US Recession and Euro Crisis. In my opinion, Agriculture in india will back to track and manufacturing will realign itself. Service sector will take few years to bounce back. All Companies can hope for less attrition in the next 2 couple of years.

My point of view
India is having very large number of talent pool after china. We have much more capability to become the hub of R&D.It’s sad that, India cannot show case its talents. This is due to Less Spend on R&D and Government’s inability to push the sector.I have seen many companies in india wanted to make partner with other foreign companies than developing them self. Indian industries are in hurry to capture market. Obviously R&D is the most time consuming and uncertain result. Most of the companies in india don’t want to take up the risk (or Challenge) to become the inventor of product or technology. In other hand MNC’s set up R&D center in india and use indian talents to become R&D Giant.

Goals and ambitions
I wish to do my MBA and I want to become entrepreneur. After working for several companies and variety of roles, I get the confidence of running a business.

family background
I recently married to Ms. Vishalakshi, a Computer Software Engineer at CSC, Noida. My family is well settled in Chennai. My father is a business man and my mother is a Home maker. I have 2 sisters and a brother, all are elder to me.
My advice to people with same profession
In my opinion, All jobs are good and there should not be any bias to choose the field of work as a Trainee. It’s a matter of individual’s interest to shine in any field. My suggestion would be accept whichever comes first and start understanding how it works. Later on, one can get clear idea about where the destination would be or where they are best. Grooming will takes place on its own.
Advice to young college students
Today’s youngsters are much matured enough to decide what they want. And I guess, they won’t like to receive a piece of advice from me!! Well, I always wanted to tell my juniors to open up their mind to grasp whichever comes to them. I am sure, this will applicable to youngsters too… All one need to do is Just focus on skillset development in the initial 5 – 10 years of career experience.
