Degrees That Matter:

I recommend MBA (Infrastructure) with specialization in Infrastructure & Project Finance. Many B-Schools across India these days have started offering exclusive teaching in core infrastructure sectors. IIMs and all the other 2nd and 3rd tier schools have introduced Infrastructure as mainstream subject apart from the conventional Finance, Marketing, HR. Before getting into any of the school please do read the course structure, know about the faculty staff, analyze the placement records and align it with your long term relation with infrastructure business. I would most certainly recommend my school (TERI University, New Delhi) for both its courses i.e. MBA (Infrastructure) and MBA (Business Sustainability). The uni. has eminent faculty staff and the placements have improved after the slow down (please don't expect salaries like the IIMs but certainly enough to give you a better start).

Taking up a lead in African Business and venturing out of India to make contribution to Infrastructure Sector (Urban Infrastructure, Agriculture, Health Care, Industrialization) along with Indian business was one of the major leaps of my career till now. This helped me see new geographies, meet new professionals and learn my service sector better.
