Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
We are a family of four my husband Anoop is Director Finance with Kelloggs . I have two daughters Nemisha 22 , MBA Marketing from Singapore , Shailja 19 is pusuing her CA and articleship with PWC.
Working Life Management:
Patience is the key , there are goals in personal and professional life , I tend to give first priority to family hence I get support and energy , full understanding which helps me accomplish my professional goals.The unique leadership style cultivated where you win the heart of team mates.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
It was always tough but now I think brutal leadership styles are emerging with focus on year to year bonus ,compassion and values are missing. Leaders have no time or inclination to coach and mentor the future leaders ,negativity at workplace is increasing leading to loss of motivation, health suffe
Advice For New Professionals:
Focus on smart working hours than long hours, keep learning adding value to yourself , introspect , maintain your physical emotional and psycho health and love your family and be respectable to everyone, NEVER CHASE MONEY its a waste of time and energy.
The Decisions That Matter
The flexibility to move from FMCG to Pharma , from generics to Animal health to OTC and NCE , BioPharma risky but enriching.R&D functions are generally very rigid and a bit conservative too to accept such changes.
Required Reading:
Apart from technical content which is a given , enriching with management , finance and leadrship will help do better in peaceful manner.Try spiritual upgrade too , meditate do yoga be happy.
Done Differently:
I will prepare myself for CEO role within ten years.

Run my own company in Wellness and Pharma space.

Prized Accomplishment(s):
I am a start up specialist and have set up US FDA Approved R&D Centers in India for MNC s for OTC, Pharma , Animal health in leadership role and FMCG as second in command.This is really from scratch with nothing not even budget and have made them successful and viable , my family loves me too.
The Journey So Far:
I credit my success to my tough bosses who believed in me much more than I did in myself at that time I used to feel pushed too much The courage and flexibility with which I ventured the unknown ,and my genes for being blessed with high energy level and positivity even in adversity.
Other Thoughts:
I started as Lecturer in Delhi University and IIT , BHU and came to industry after obtaining PhD .I started with P&G as Executive , rose to manager , worked for senior positions in Ranbaxy, Lupin, Searle , Colgate, Pfizer, Novartis and Jhonson and Johnson .
