Neha Chauhan's Advice
Being true to yourself
Be true to yourself about what option you have chosen and why you want to pursue it. Also, be as knowledgeable and flexible and possible while sticking to your ideals. Knowledge converted into genuine life ideas is greater than anything else.
Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I belong to a simple traditional family in Dehra Dun. We guys are conservative and modern, humble and outspoken, all at once.
The Decisions That Matter
Shifting back to my hometown to 'start' a 'start-up'. Though people still don't understand why i did this, i suppose some things are beyond the monetary vision. I have not earned much in the past one year, but the next 4 years will be decisive.
Job Profile:
I founded MyContentLab, a content creation start up. We provide predominantly text content but in the near future, we are expanding our horizons to pictures and short films as well. MyContentLab will be a leading name in the content development sector.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
MyContentLab in itself is an accomplishment for me. I think about it, talk about and even dream about it 24*7. If that is obsession, so be it.
Plans For The Future:
Taking the MyContentLab success to a new threshold and providing quality content to the clients and doing my bit to make the internet a more authentic and genuine content destination
Advice For New Professionals:
Be true to yourself about what option you have chosen and why you want to pursue it. Also, be as knowledgeable and flexible and possible while sticking to your ideals. Knowledge converted into genuine life ideas is greater than anything else.
Growth Strategy:
Leadership is something that happens when you are 'not there'. I try to develop relationships with clients and content creators alike and make them a part of my mission, so that we can move forward in one direction, together.
Working Life Management:
My work is life. Though MyContentLab is the only thing on my mind all the time, i prefer to make work hours flexible. It is more about creativity and it can flow at any time of the day. However, personal and professional life 'mashup' is a strict no-no.
Degrees That Matter:
I only recommend 'nose for news' and a flair for writing. If your heart tells you to write, just go ahead and do it. All necessary skills will be learned, if you just know your field and your direction.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
The environment has been becoming more frolicsome and creative by the day. Nowhere else will we find people sitting, chatting, sharing creative ideas and going back happy because they have contributed in the making of something 'awesome'.
Done Differently:
There is nothing i would want to do except MyContentLab. However, given a chance i would love to be a part of a radio station.
