Brief description about me

I live at Coimbatore with my parents and my elder bro is working abroad. I am working in Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Programmer Analyst. I just completed my UG BE in Computer Science and Engineering way back in 2010 under Anna University and joined as a part of Cognizant in August, 2010. I joined in Chennai and worked there till now and very recently transferred to CTS in Coimbatore. I was developing applications for an US client under Retail domain where I worked mainly on J2EE, Glassfish and Webservices, etc.

Challenges in job

The challenging part starts from picturising the client requirements and ends with delivering what they actually need. It is definitely helpful to my career and future as well since I has now gained the knowledge of Business in US market along with the development skills that I groomed myself periodically. The kind of responsibility is the greatest asset that I gained which will be very helpful in my future :)

Job made easy

Work - Life Balance!!! This is the only mantra that keeps me going and completing my assignments with perfection and on time. It is an art to balance Work and Life and once if You learn it, definitely you will find the difference in your life and the impact will be HUGE!

Upcoming Trends

In my point of view, the behavior of the US economy and the man power will be the trends that will be game changing.

My point of view

In my point of view, India is mainly focusing on service oriented kind of companies rather than Research and Development centres. We are not just investing enough funds for building R&D centres across the nation which I think is wrong. If there is a revolution happen in R&D, then am damn sure that the raw talents in India will be developing N number of technical products that will rock global market.

My goals

My goal is like I just want to explore more in this Industry and I just want to be in HR field after spending enough time in Application Development. Because I just love to share more, learn more and interact more which will be highly effective if and only I become a HR.

family background

My father Mr.Abdul Saleem S is a MA graduate and currently working as a Computer Operator in Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Coimbatore and about my mom, she is a wonderful home-maker and my elder brother has done his Diploma in ECE and currently working as a Pre Sales Engineer in Dubai. Ours is a tightly coupled family where each and every one care others till the greatest extent and simply I could say my home is my "Heaven" !!!!

Advice to professionals

DOs: Dont hesitate to take up risks and challenges and dont start something until you get a clear picture about it. Just be bold to accept your mistakes and learn from them. Maintain Work - Life balance!!!

DONTs: Dont postpone things to the next day rather finish it the same day! Dont be afraid of asking doubts to
seniors until you are familiar with the subject.

Advice to students

I think I have not grown that much to provide advice kind of things. Let it be a suggestion and it is like "Keep yourselves UPDATED". Only the theory what you are studying wont help you 100% to be successful in your job. Practical knowledge is the one will help you out and learn the new technology which will help you through out.
