Interests:
My research work is related to the application of Supercritical carbon dioxide as an inexpensive, non toxic and non-flammable alternative to organic solvents for the synthesis of Fullerene [60] caged polymers from acrylic acid, vinyl thiophene, vinyl pyrolliodone, vinyl pyridine etc. my thesis topic is “Synthesis Of Fullerene Containing Polymers In Super Critical Carbon Dioxide”.
Besides this I am also engaged in synthesis of wood plastic composites, epoxy thermoplastic blends and polymer clay nano-composites in the presence of supercritical solvents and also in conventional solvents.
I also have technical know-how of working with high pressure reactors, UV/VIS spectrophotometers, GPC-HPLC, GC and Rheoviscometer, interpretation of data through Thermal Characterization by TG-DTA-DTG, DSC, and FT-IR etc.
As another interest, I have experience of synthesis of polymers, Carbon Nanotube Templated Polymers, Nano Composite materials, fullerene based polymers, and clay based nano composites, different nano particles like silver, gold and ferrite nano particles. Polymer blends, epoxy composites, wood polymer composites, coating resins in supercritical solvents and also in covenantal solvents,
` Most of the synthesized fullerene-containing polymers are star shaped and used as polyelectrolyte for photovoltaic devices, optical power limiters and cross linkers to elastomers. Carbon Nanotube Templated Polymers are conductive in nature, clay nano composite has very good mechanical properties.
Polymers and composite materials are also under investigation through laser induced breakdown spectroscopy.
I have published many papers in National and International Journals. out of them four papers are published in international journals one in national journal six are in proceedings.
