Nagababu
Sr.Engineer
Cambridge Silicon Radio
Brief description about me
I am currently working as Sr.Engineer at Cambridge Silicon Radio,Bangalore.I have over seven years of experience in IT industry. Since the beginning of my career, I have been working in short range wireless testing and automation.
Challenges in job
In my current job I am exposed to different critical core aspects of wireless chip testing and automation. As this complements my previous work, it gives me confidence in handling any test programs in the future (in this domain) without much effort.
Job made easy
a.Clear communication and co-ordination with the team is very important in this job.Create positive environment around you. It is quite required.b.We have to identify tasks which are repetitive in nature and find out out ways of automating them where ever possible. This will reduce lot of manual effort and hence reduces fatigue.
Upcoming Trends
Bluetooth low energy will revolutionize the way we connect to our smart devices in the future. This technology has lot of potential than any other short range wireless protocols.
My point of view
If you look at any world dominating
tech product, Indians are there in the background. But when it comes to India
in manufacturing, we lack infrastructure, investment and support by the
government. But I believe this trend might change slowly. Gujarat and Tamil
Nadu are examples where we are showing good progress in manufacturing industry
as well.
My goal
I have to contribute technically as much of value as I can to the growth of the company in the coming years. This will let me grow along with it.Then, I can slowly move to management from technical position (only after I feel good technically).
Family Background
I am the last son in a family of
seven.I have three brothers and three sisters. My father is a farmer and mother
is a house wife.
My advice to professionals
Domain knowledge and programming skills are very important in this field. But I have seen people giving importance to only to programming skills but not to domain knowledge. To be the best in your field, both skills are required.
Advice to college student
College students should at least do 2~4 projects before completing their graduation. One project for one month gives more knowledge than obtained in two semesters. There is a gap in what we learn and what industry needs. The more practical knowledge they get, the more closer they are to the industry needs.
