Brief description about me
Nabil Eid has a successful record of accomplishment and experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the development Community.
Nabil has served at the National ICT Training Strategy in Syria, under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communication and Technology in Syria and the UNDP / Syria Office (2004). The initiative included launched of many Telecentres and ICT programs, such as Rural Knowledge Network “Reefnet project ", building Telecenters, Rural Mobile Computer Training (E-BAG) and ICT for the development of disadvantaged communities, its impact on scientific and socio-economic development.
Nabil is currently Regional Community Coordinator (RCC), Middle East and North Africa Network at Telecentre.org Foundation.
He is responsible for many full staff –time and volunteers who report to his directly.
Also, he is Executive Secretary of Knowledge Hubs for Disadvantaged Communities in UN-ESCWA Region since (2009).
My role model
There are challenges for developing countries in the world so we are required to work for Combat poverty and promote sustainable development
Poverty prevents people from reaching their full potential and from participating fully in society, combat poverty works to ensure that the elimination of poverty remains a national priority, and that social and economic policies are directed towards improving the lives of the most societies, reducing poverty and empowering the poor are crucial ingredients for equitable and sustainable economic growth.
Initiative to develop a country
Understood that ICTs plays a key role to combat poverty and promote sustainable development, there is important aspect to the relation between ICTs, economic growth, and poverty reduction especially when addressing the needs of the poor and the root causes of persistent poverty.

Working as Regional Community Coordinator for Arabic Network in MENA Region through Telecentre.org Foundation.
Implementation lessons learnt and best practices and sharing knowledge on Methodologies and tools used for rural people.
Enable the global community of telecentre networks and build their capacity to ensure scale and impact of effective solutions and practices
Create opportunities for people in MENA telecentres and their users to build viable and successful communities.
