My brief description
Mohamed Ameer Irshad H,   my friends call me Ameer.  I am from Chennai.Graduated my B.Tech in IT from VIT University ,Vellore .I love technology especially mobility and most of my life I have been working something on those lines.Photography is one thing am passionate about as a hobby, just trying to improve everyday from past two years. I work with TCS Mobility as a Technical Architect.Currently I am working in London for one of the leading banks in mobile banking segment.Prior to this I was working in TCS Telecom Innovation Labs.I have 4+ yrs of enterprise mobility experience after education.I have been involved in various roles starting from programming to consulting customers on enterprise mobility.I have lead teams with people around 7-10.Its always nice to mentor passionate people and motivate them.

Challenge in job
Having worked with multiple customers across industry segments from banking to retail and from insurance to travel we realise that everyone wants to leverage the latest mobile technologies and fit in their existing IT infrastructure. So here the challenge is how easily you enable mobility with very minimal impact on their existing systems and still making justice to their previous investments.Every organization has a different architecture and backend system and how we integrate mobile platforms with them is another challenge which we face day in day out.Be it interfacing android with SAP or iOS with a mainframe or HTML5 app with an Oracle system.

Job made easy
Though enterprise technology is said to be a less-than-a-decade old trend , the mentoring which we receive from our senior architects helps me making my job much easier. They have all the knowledge of enterprise backends which helps the mobile architects. And also the community of developers and passionate engineers who are always on their front foot to crack on new things just makes you feel comfortable and you are ready to take up challenges with such teams.

Upcoming trends
As you would have observed over the period of past 2 years the usage of websites or social media is shifting more towards mobile and tablets from desktops and laptops. So any technology which will liberate IT from desktop will be game changing in next couple of years. It can be anything from seamless and unified communication and collaboration, biometrics , augmented reality gaming ,be it massive enterprise systems and databases on mobile , dashboards , monitoring systems, and definitely M2M ( machine - to - machine ) communication which lead to the era of sensoroconomy.

My point of view
We do have great tech product based companies but very few.But at the same time we have to remember that Indians have always been part of great products made outside of India. There are so many factors which influences this situation.A major one is that the ecosystem for startups is much favourable in the silicon valley than here but definitely we are improving and doing a much better job in cities like Bangalore , Chennai,Pune, etc compared to 5 years back. Also media, investors, graduates ,job-seekers and government are more biased towards service based companies , the mind-set and impression has been created that way. Also to build a great product we need rich experience and market insight. If your core competency is just technical skills then you end up doing good only in services industry. But things are changing now and few years down the line we would have great products made here to boast off.

My goals
I always believe that long term goals are always a myth.I restrict my goals for less than 2 years and work on them..But ya I do have a vision to start a company with a game changing technology which will have impact in our daily lives.

family background
Yes sure , my late father was a Senior express Guard in Indian railways,my mother is a home maker and I have an younger brother who works in Indian railways in one of the electronic labs. I owe a lot to my family who have always encouraged and appreciated even my small achievements throughout my life. What I am now is because of them.

Advice to professionals
People who are starting their career in niche technologies like mobility , big data or M2M it is very important to keep yourself abreast of the latest trends and happenings in your field.Keep looking for whats the next big thing and be the one to start implementing to bring the new concept to realization.

Advice to students
As I mentioned I passed out from VIT University ,Vellore. It is simply a great place where students are allowed to experiment on their own, work on their ideas, network with industry leaders ,etc. And the culture out there is simply too good as you get to mingle with people of different minds. The students out there are already doing a great job.One thing which I realized is whatever you feel passionate about or whatever inspires you ,take it up and start working on it at an earlier stage itself.Do not wait for your career to begin after your college.
