About M K Vidyaranya Krishnamurthy
I am a senior journalist, having worked as the Chief of Bureau of the Press Trust of India (PTI) national news agency’s Karnataka Unit.
I also worked as a Senior Journalist in Vijay Times (now defunct) , Karnataka’s second largest circulated English daily.(Times of India group).
My father late M R Krishnamurthy who died at the age of 81 (17 years ago) was a Freedom Fighter and Journalist who had worked for Indian Express, Kannada Prabha, Viswakarnataka, Tainadu, Janavani and other news papers. He was the secretary of the Mandya District Congress Committee in late 1940′s and was also the secretary of the Mysore Sugar Company Employees Union for some time.
After leaving PTI in 1997, I was Editing my own fortnightly magazine called ‘The Review of Politics and Industry’ for more than 6 years before joining Vijay Times.
I have won few awards for the services I have rendered in the field of journalism for more than 4 decades. Currently I am Editing this blog.
