Qualities needed to become a successful leader
The person needs to be sincere in endeavor, should have inner drive and passion in the chosen field.
He should have a vision to excel.
He should dare to dream and achieve the dream.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
The education system in India that we have inherited from Britishers who ruled us over 200 years needs total reinvention.
There should be emphasis on building strong moral background and character.
Our education system specially in formative years should take pages from history of our rich cultural heritage so that every educated Indian feels immensely proud and aware about the challenges that our country faces.
Besides giving emphasis on learning about Technology we should also learn to be empathetic to our fellow beings.
My strongest skill
Being a specialist in Molecular imaging and therapy I always endeavor to learn and update myself in my field.Besides I got opportunity to address international medical professionals on latest topics eg Neuroendocrine tumor and its treatment(talk delivered at International NET tumor meeting in Toronto in 2008.
Ensuring success
I take part in both National and International conferences to keep myself updated on my field to ensure my professional growth.
I also do try to participate in volunteering for rendering health services to rural poor at no charges whatsoever. We a group of like minded professionals (medical Doctors) visit rural areas and not only diagnose patients but also distribute medicines to needy.
We have been participating to educate effect of Yoga to prevent diseases.
I enjoy in enhancing my professional knowledge and also seek inner growth in life.
My role model
From My child hood I have been inspired by the great epics specially Ramayana and its teachings
Swami Vivekananda is my role model(My teacher presented me a book about Chicago Address of Swami Vivekananda when I was in High school)
Couple of years from now
In couple of year from now I dream to have a hospital in rural area which will render service to disadvantaged section of society using latest technology.
Brief description about me
I am a Medical Doctor with specialization in Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT.After my graduation (MBBS) I completed Post graduation from Mumbai Univ and have worked at AIIMS,Delhi and Sathysai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences from 1991 to 1999.
I have been practicing both in India and abroad. My career that spans over 2o years of medical practice involves offering expert service to patients who suffer from various diseases specially for treatment of Arthritis,Thyroid disease,Thyroid cancer besides tumor that spreads to Bone and causes severe pain to cancer patients.
I also treat rare tumor called Neuroendocrine tumors using radioactive tiny molecules that targets these tumors offering cure.
Initiative to develop a country
If this is with regard to Medical professional all I can say that we need to have not only best hospitals which are already existing in mostly cities but the same must percolate to also rural areas so that all feel that the best health care services are available within easy reach.
Influenced by
I am influenced by my Spiritual Master Swami Sivananda and Swami Chidananda of Divine life society.
Swami Sivananda being a Doctor turned saint influences me to do good to society in best possible way that I can.His philanthropic view of life has indeed influenced me.
Of course my teacher and seniors (several Doctors) who served the society relentlessly without caring for their own ,have influenced me and also still guide me.
My family background
I am blessed with having my parents who inculcated in me value of putting others before self and always supported me in my decision in life till date.
Important lesson learned
As a Doctor I use to treat patients but once I myself fell ill and was admitted in hospital that gave me great lesson to treat every patient with greatest empathy and love.
My achievements
Besides a professional satisfaction of having worked in premier hospitals in India and abroad I was awarded as
1.Ideal Doctor from Managing Director of SaudiGerman Hgspital in 2002.
2.I got award for taking my Dept for global recognition for which I received award from founder Director of Ruby Hall Clinic,Pune where I Worked.
Besides I had opportunity to be interviewed by several news paper both in India and abroad for my work.
Important decision
The most important decision that I took is by doing specialization in Nuclear Medicine the specialty which is relatively younger compared to other fields of Medicine
The field of Nuclear Medicine is technology driven and is most challenging field.
More about myself
Besides my work as a Doctor I also have interest for health education for which I write medical blogs, participate in social events.
I am also supporter of India that will be corruption free and crime free.As it is not enough if India achieves only financial freedom or becomes developed nation in near future.
