As a marketing Person, I think i play an very important role as (we are the link between the market & the organisation. We are the organisations sensing points in Market.
Differences
Marketing starts before the production, Marketing is a total system & selling is one part of it..Marketing is a long term process. Selling starts after the decision of production.Selling is transfer of ownership.it is a short term process.
Growth Prospect in marketing
Growth rate in this stream is much faster than others, but yes for the active ones....
Motivating
I would say that hopes keeps a person live, keep-trying gives you a chance to achieve it at last, but when you stop trying you loose that chance too.
Competitiveness
All the streams are different in this competitive world. Marketing has its importance...its role to play.

4ps of Marketing are: Place,Price,Product,Promotion..
Place where it is establishing its organisation & its target market is important.
Price of the product produced by the organisation is reasonable to the economy.
Product producing is homogeneous to the people..& is environment-friendly.
Promotion of the product in its cheapest way.Targeting the best market for its product.
Without harming the social norms.

Branding makes the Product more familiar & classified in the Market to the customers.
