Contribution to the field
The sense of joy and enthusiasm that the team brings to their work. Assignments are not seen as 'work' but as enjoyable challenges which energise everybody.
Branding
Very important. Organisations today, typically, own only two long term assets, and one of them is the brand.
Role in an organization
I head the organisation.
Future trend
Lower turnaround times, higher demands on quality, a lot more accountability than in the past, and a move towards digital.
What suggestions would you like to give to the aspirants who want to make their career in Marketing only?
Keep ears to the ground, read all the happenings around you, and not just about marketing, markets, and brands. Talk to people as consumers and customers. Read everything you can to help you learn about people.
Motivating
If they lose hope, then I would have failed. Hence, we make sure that the team doesn't lose hope.
Marketing
Marketing is demand creation and fulfillment. It is really very important, since marketing and sales is the only function which brings money into the organisation.
Importance of Marketing
I head my organisation.
Growth Prospect in marketing
Success is dependent entirely on effort and achievements.
Motivating Factor
A positive outlook, ability to find solutions that work, and a relentless drive to provide such solutions.
Recommendation
Everything they can lay their hands on. Marketing knowledge is very largely dependent on the marketer's knowledge of people as people first, and customers second. Everything they read is grist to the mill.
Importance of STP
Absolutely critical. Their importance cannot be over-emphasised.
Future prospect
Perceived as an elder statesman, whose contributions are recognised by my clients.
