Responsibilities and Challenges faced.

Important lesson learned
Always take some time to answer, do take time to understand the objectives and then spell out. Don't be in hurry.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Since I am associated in an educational institute where Design is taught, therefore I will say on the same area of expertise. Learning by doing and exposure to real environment of the related field should be provided by the relevant industry as part of the Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) so that we have hard core professional ready to be absorbed.
Brief description about me
I am at present working as Associate Professor-Textile Design Department at NIFT Navi Mumbai, an organization under the aegis of Govt. of India, Ministry of Textiles.

Authored a book on "Woven Textiles" for Central Board of Education (CBSE) for the students of standard XI.

Have carried research on trends and color forecasting for fashion and have also presented paper on the same topic at Hyderabad organized by Handloom Handicrafts Export Promotion Council (HHEPC) Chennai.
My family background
I come from a very humble back ground where no one have knowledge about the area I have chosen.

My achievements
Worked as Center Coordinator) at NIFT Hyderabad, in the Fashion and Textiles Department. I was responsible of taking up all the design relates activities, viz, woven design projects, creative weaving skills, Basic weaving, craft documentation and craft Design to Textile Design & development students. Basic Design (print and woven), COLOR FUNDAMENTALS, Non-woven techniques (Yarn Craft), Tie-dyeing workshop (both traditional & modern techniques in dyeing and printing). Visual Merchandising forms the core of every presentation for Fashionable Garment and Home Furnishings.
I was also instrumental in handling lot of governmental and Non-Governmental Project for the development of fashionable fabrics and garments. To name a few I was the coordinator of the HES Kerala project and DEPM Bargarh (Orissa) projects for the Design and Development of fabrics and Development of Merchandise through product diversification for the Export markets of USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
