Brief description about me
I am working as a Java developer for a US based Healthcare company, Cerner. Currently settled in Bangalore. I am working as an individual contributor now.I started working in Philips Healthcare. I did my internship there and was there for a total of 10 months. Was working as a Test Engineer and was working on building the test plans for validating the healthcare products.

Challenges in job
The challenges to improve the quality and provide a better and easier user experience is the challenge we face here.
Gaining more expertise on the technology and keeping myself updated for improving the work here would help me in the future.

Job made easy
Connecting to latest technology and moving to the most recent technologies help in making the job easier and more innovative.
Attending different technology conferences help in the growth process overall.

Upcoming Trends
I think Healthcare is too important to stay the same. It keeps evolving because the expectancy of life is never less. So building solutions to improve the doctor's visibility is the trend changer for me.

My point of view
I think in India, there are a lot of start ups with different technology. But the failure rate of those is very high. people here want to build something, sell it and gt rid of it. They care more about the esteem of the product once built and the royalty rather than dominating the market by improving it.
We have tally which is doing a pretty good job.
My goal
Goals keep changing. I like keeping short term goals rather. They may be as small as finishing my office task on the same day.
Ambitions wise, I would like to lead a technical team and create a new product with full ownership in the team.

Family background
I was born and brought up in Assam. Studied in Army School. So had quite fun in the strict manner. Loved the discipline. Played almost all the sports there and learned a lot of people and their opinions. A star debater for the school :)
Did my graduation in Electronics and Bio-medical Instrumentation from Bangalore. So called most happening college in bangalore BMSCE. But trust me, we had a time of our lives in the hostel.
And now i landed up in the software industry.

Advice to professionals
I think there is no substitute for hard work. the corporate work is done with far too much precision and the education system fails to teach in that way.
So you learn on the process. Having basics clear will be the most important part in this field.

Advice to students
The department we passed out from is very pro-active. Even after I have passed out, we keep getting invites from our HOD to come and explain the real world scenario to the 3rd and 4th year students. An advice would be the exact subjects on which to concentrate on which would actually help in the real world scenario. They will differ with the different domains.
So that needs to be taken care off with respect to the fields the students are interested to carry on.
