Current job profile
I have an experience of over two years in Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive Division) as an Area Sales Manager. My current role has primarily been related to Channel Sales / Dealer Development. I'm based out of Bangalore and am handling our Channel Partners in the Karnataka territory.

Leadership skill
I have always believed in Value Creation is a skill that differentiates a leader with the rest. A person who could create value not only for himself but for ecosystem surrounding him/her is a TRUE leader. With the aforementioned intention a leader needs to hone the skills and bring the change that could work positively.

Ensuring growth
Learn and Evolve from my peers and superiors. These people are my instant inspiration and allow me to understand and grow in my job. I believe to be open for new ideas and disciplined implementation of the same for results. The quote stands very true in my life ‘I don’t do different things, but do the same things differently”.

My advice
Leadership is all about conviction and perseverance. A strong will to perform mixed with an eye for quality would improve you both as a person and a leader. Not to forget that one cannot be a leader if one couldn’t lead himself/herself. Hence high mental adaptability and flexibility is required to grow as a leader.

Doing things right
Connecting the right dots ain’t an easy task. Yes, I do mistakes and LEARN from it. Incessant learning and adapting to the situation is the key.
Influenced by
I have always been influenced by my mom. She was married at a very young age of 14 and did not have enough motivation to continue her studies. Who would have dreamt of continuing studies post marriage in a small village in Bihar! She had always dreamt of becoming a teacher and nothing could have stopped her from achieving her dreams, not even adverse situations. My dad supported her decision and she later finished her graduation (B.A) and also pursued B.Ed in Bangalore as well. She then realized her dream of becoming a teacher and also turned to be a well dietician as well. She has always been my guide and source of inspiration.

Handling gravience
We need to be rightful in the decisions we make while handling grievance of a sub-ordinate. Sometimes it may be harsh, but is necessary for long term. The better way is to consult and a dialogue be established to handle the concerns appropriately. Also at the same time I try using real-life solutions to get the employee in the same page.

Important career decision
Taking the Management Programme post completion of my Engineering degree was one decision which has proved to be right. I could never dream myself in a computer programmer shoes and the management degree allowed broadening my horizons. Then choosing Automobile industry as my work area allowed me to follow my passion. Initially I was very confused on opting the field of work – then one fine day my mother asked about one thing I would work for “free” and Cars was my answer. That was the day I decided to be in Automobile Industry and here I am!
My view on India technological development
I would not agree that any single tech product hasn’t come out from us. We have been pioneers in email communication (remember Sabeer Bhatia?), many NASA scientists are Indians, most of the technology company big wigs (name Sanjay Parthasarthy in Microsoft, Vinod Dham in Intel etc) are Indians. The only reason innovations/technology is not breeding within the country is the lack of necessary resources and mentality to averse risks and not to try things that are new. Slowly, things have improved and sooner we would see many tech products which are born right here!
Family Background
We are a family of 5. My dad is a Naturopath and has been working in Jindal Naturecure Institute since past 28 years. My mom started her career as a teacher and later pursued Dietician course to become one. Currently she is a housewife. Both my brother and sister-in-law are Dentists.
