The Decisions That Matter
1. Choosing I.T., my passion, as the study stream in engineering against what people suggested.
2. After engineering choosing Infosys to join, having offers from three IT majors.
3. Switching to NDS India, after 23 months of successful journey with Infosys.
Family Background
I belong to lower middle class family.
My father is a retired state government serviceman, he was with MadhyaPradesh state road transport corporation.
My mother is now a housewife, she was a school teacher.
Studied with limited resources and facilities, I am proud of what my family gave me.
Advice For New Professionals:
Be honest in what you do, because that gives you confidence to stand on your ground.
Stay polite, down to earth, be logical and world will listen you.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Successfully finishing many projects during my carrier with Infosys.
Getting selected in the interview at NDS India for a challenging profile.
I am proud of my basics and the approach to find and learn quickly, things that I dont know.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
With the experience with two major firms, I believe people are getting mature, knowledgeable, and dynamic day by day. Today I can see freshers coming with new innovative ideas, better understanding and striving for optimization, which is very good sign.

Job Profile:
I am a part of HTML 5, CSS 3 R&D team. I am responsible for implementing the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) for set top boxes and companion devices like iPad, making sure that compatibility, optimization, animations are intact and smooth on any platform.
Plans For The Future:
I see myself as a solution architect, comparing and analyzing possible solutions and approaches and proposing the optimal design.
Role Model:
There are many people. First inspiration is my father who had a quality of managing things in scarcity of resources. Another inspiration is my mom who gave my learning of giving and humanity, she used to teach poor children for free. Another one is Narayan Murthy who taught me honesty at work.
Done Differently:
Would have more research oriented development approach from college days.
Career Profile:
As User Interface developer, responsibilities are same but the technology and platform is better in the current role & it is more research oriented.
Involvement in the Industry
I am currently working with NDS India, i am working as an UI developer for EPG(Electronic Program Guide) for set top boxes and companion devices like iPad, using web based technologies like HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and JQuery.
