Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I am from a business family. All(My father and brothers) are into business but i decided to do Engineering. Infact i am the youngest one in my family. So, my father allowed me to do so and the result is in front of you--B.Tech(CSE) and worked with Infosys for around 3 yrs.
Required Reading
Design Patterns from the Head First. I do not have much idea about Testing domain because i am from JAVA Developer domain. Anyway, i will prefer for HP quality center.
The Journey So Far
When I entered to 3rd year, I opened my own Coaching Center and there I use to teach C, C++, Data Structure and later on added Core JAVA and DBMS. On completing my B.Tech, got campusing from Infosys and currently working here since last 1.5yrs as a JAVA Developer.
Essential Advice
Before starting anything, first try to analyse the problem. In an IT industry, if you will do a little mistake, you can loose your clients and we know a client is how much important in IT. So, please analyse more and more and if possible, take help from the seniors or the knowing persons.
Areas for the Future
Every companies follow some kind of standards in there coding and testing. So, it is the thing that differentiate one company from the others. So, the specific and the core knowledge about the coding and testing is very much needed.
Parting thoughts
Testing or Development, nothing is a big deal. Both have the same preference in an IT company thats too in India. So, an Engineer should not bother about whether he/she is getting Testing or Development. Also, do not loose hope, every problem have an optimal solution always.
Degrees that Matter
I have done Infosys Internal Certifications. The certifications were based on the JAVA, J2EE, DBMS, PL/SQl and Software Engineering. For testing, better to go for Software Engineering certifications.
Currently working at
Currently I am working with Infosys since last 1.5yrs as a JAVA Developer. I have a very good knowledge in JAVA, J2EE, JPA, JSF, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Web Services, UMLs, PL/SQL etc.
Plans for the Future
My main aim is to establish my own IT company and I see myself as the CEO. Actually, when i was in 3rd year of B.Tech, i started Coaching center, my motto was to open a training center after my B.Tech for pre final years but due to monetary problem, i was not successful that time.
Most Important Decisions
First it was my decision to go for B.Tech. And after the completion of B.Tech, i got 3 campusings TCS, CTS and Infosys. I decided to go for Infosys only, because i know infact everybody knows, Infosys is a very good comppany to start your career and growth. This was really my important decision.
Points of inflection
I was about to open a training center for pre final year students but i had money problem. So, i could not proceeded. Also after completion of B.Tech, i waited for 4-5 months in search of job, i moved to Kolkata-Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore-Hyderabad-Kolkata, and got 3 campsings in off campus.
Most Important Lessons
I have learned, how to do smart working rather than hard working. Also i learnt here how to analyse a typical situation in a very typical time. I learnt, how to utilize my time in a very smooth way to enjoy my personal and professional lives .
Current and Previous Responsibilities
Infosys is my first company and i am worked here as a JAVA Developer. I worked on Agile methodology, so it had a great responsibilities upon me. Daily morning a new development work will come then i have to analyze it, develop it, then unit testing and deployment and again testing.
Role Model
My role model is Mr N R Narayanmoorthy(Ex Infosys CEO and currently Chief Mentor). I am very much inspired by him and by his work to establish such a very big and great company like Infosys. He started from nothing and completed as Everthing.
