Important lesson learned
Life is a lesson itself and I would name my chapters as
1) Dream and believe in yourself
2) follow it up with unmatched perseverance and finally
3) if you dont ask you dont get.
Brief description about me
I started in 2000 to be an software geek but instead became a sports geek. I make people to do sports for a living. I started my career in Mumbai working for NSE.iT, finance, mainframes working with oldest computer languages and after that I took up another challenge to work in health and welfare systems in bangalore and USA till 2008
Post 2008, I changed my sails and started my new life in sports world. Since then I have been part of various mega multi-sports events Olympic and non-Olympic. Currently I am working on really cool project to set up a university league in the USA, the most competitive market. I am fortunate to venture into global sports market and contribute to it.

I am spontaneous person when it comes to travel and personal life. I believe in that philosophy that 'time is limited on earth' and finally my competition is only with myself.
Important decision
I have made both good and bad decisions in my life, but every decision left me seeking for more. I once left my job in mid-way to study for GMAT, which when I look back now wasn't the most wisest decision till date, most of the times to achieve what you love requires tough decisions. I order to pursue what I love, I left my IT career at its peek, that was the most decisive decision I have taken till this date.

Since then I have been climbing my learning curve in global sports market. I pursued masters in sports Management from AISTS, Switzerland and here I am 4 years hence, working in International Sports governing body.
My achievements
I started my career with National stock exchange covering systems side of Capital and IPO markets, it was an enriching experience. I was part of infamous CWG 2010 games, It was proud moment to work a mega national sporting event, even though it was marked by daunted atmosphere. Post CWG I worked for Qatar Olympic Committee for strategic planning for their sports vision.
But nothing tops working for a international sports governing body to oversee the development of the sports and work with really cool people around the world.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
A leader needs to have a clear vision of what needs to be achieved. A leader is not afraid take calculated risks and is always ready to take though decisions. A leader has to make sure that he/she surrounded by right people for right job, because I believe a leader is as good as his/her team and vice-versa.
Influenced by
My Mother and Father, When I was about to join give my 12th exams, my mother got diagonsed with Myasthenia gravis — muscle weakness disorder and almost at the same time my father was advised for by-pass heart surgery. The courage that they showed in those times was overwhelming and made me understand that life is a gift and you can do anything as long as badly want it. Since then we had tough times but they never discouraged me to give up my dream and look for a stable job.
I owe it to them
Couple of years from now

My family background
We are family of 5, (2 elder sister and the pampered one). My father retired as Bank manager from one of the nationalized bank and my mother raised us. We grew up in a joint family of 21 in lower middle class colony in south mumbai. Now that I look back, I realize that my parents never let us realize that we were struggling to meet ends. They encouraged us to study and take our own decisions.

Above everything else, education was kept our priority.
Ensuring success
My work requires to meet and work with people from walks of life. Be it political or athletes, this opportunity helps to learn and grow everyday. At the same time I try to part of discussions groups and independent projects to keep me updated with my industry knowledge. I mentor and advice students who want to take up sports management as their careers.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Education in India emphasizes more on theory and concepts, I believe it should encourage innovation and more practical approach.
My strongest skill
Perseverance, determination and commitment.
Degree that I recommend
Any person with passion for sports can excel in their area, because sports business is after all like any other business.
