My Advice
My advice for the upcoming generation in my profession is to study sincerely and acquire as much knowledge as possible from diverse sources which off course should include the teacher! They should also inculcate the traits of empathy, patience and motivational spirit as far as learning and acquiring knowledge in all spheres is concerned!
Unique way of teaching
To make teaching more effective and practical especially in science subjects , I feel a teacher should draw
examples from the immediate surroundings of his students when explaining a topic so that the latter gets a comprehensive understanding of the same.
Family Background
My father , who is no more, was a member of IPS and he retired as Additional Director in RAW . My mother was a housewife.
My priorities
That would depend on the priority an event would occupy in my scheme of things at a particular time.
Way to motivate Students
I try to give my students interesting examples from everyday life so that they can have a true feel of the subject and possibly be motivated to explore more as well.
Strongest Subject
I feel my strongest subject is mathematics because right through my educational career i have performed well in it.
Outlook about increase students’ participation
There should be more forum involved in the development process of the nation with an easy access mechanism for a large proportion of the students to participate and become actively involved in the process.
Most Rewarding Moment
My most rewarding teaching experience has been when my students became self motivated to learn performing well in public examinations and attributed their success to my teaching methodologies.
Most Challenges facing by students
The biggest challenge facing students according to me is the extremely high level of competition prevalent in any field for them to make their mark.
My inspiring personality
My role model is our ex president Dr. Kalam because of his simplicity and humble nature at the same time being actively involved in the development of scientific education in our country.
About Me
I am a graduate of IIT Roorkee and IIM Calcutta. I started teaching from 2005 in Mussoorie owing to personal reasons. I have taught in quite a few reputed schools there the subjects of Physics and Mathematics to senior school students.
Important Lesson
The important lessons that I have learnt in my life are that there is no substitute for hard work and sincerity coupled with honesty in any field one may choose to aspire.
Future of Indian Education System
The single major change that I foresee in the near future in the field of urban education is the increasing importance played by technology enabled learning which does not substitute but complements teachers role in the teaching-learning process.
