Give your tablet to your crying kid and all those shouting and tears
vanishes as the child gets distracting with the games, videos, taps and
swops. More than 55 percent of parents use these gadgets to pacify their
kids while traveling, and 41 percent use them for the same reasons in
restaurants, states the Nielsen report.
Gadgets are in rise and are creating a new generation of kids who are digital friendly. Companies understand this niche and are designing tablets for kids; ‘Kurio tablet’ and the newly launched ‘Oregon Scientific MEEP’ at Toy Fair 2012 are such kid-friendly tablets. Other than pacifying kids tablets are also showcasing their use in various other areas like in airplane cockpits, restaurants, and hospitals.
