BANGALORE: Indian-origin techies are not the only crowd pullers who have made it big abroad. But scholars with caliber in the U.S. have also scaled the heights in the world of academics. As Indians make their presence felt globally over a wide variety of fields ranging from science, technology and innovation to administrative roles, many academicians are making a mark in major universities.

Check out the list of these Indian-American academicians who have made it big in the U.S.

Sanjeev Kulkarni: Mumbai born Snjeev Kulkarni is the Professor of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University. His research spans a broad range of areas related to understanding fundamental limits and developing methods for processing data and information, with a focus on information theory, machine learning, and statistical patterns. Kulkarni is an associate faculty member in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering and Department of Philosophy. He has also served as an associate dean for academic affairs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science from 2003 to 2005.

"Through more than 20 years as a faculty member and administrator, I have developed a very deep appreciation for Princeton," Kulkarni exclaimed. "It is an honour and a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the University in this capacity," reports the CoolAge.
