Bangalore: The community of Indian doctors in America will be conducting ‘Global Healthcare Summit’ in Ahmedabad, the coming year, in the month of January. The aim is to bring world class healthcare for Indians, which is affordable as well, reports PTI.

"The Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) would like to make a positive and meaningful impact on the healthcare in India," said Dr Jayesh Shah, AAPI president.

The 2 day summit targets to make advancements in the accessibility, affordability and quality of world-class healthcare to the Indian people. The Summit will focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment options and will also share ways to improve healthcare, beyond global boundaries.
According to Shah, "AAPI has been engaged in harnessing the power of Indian diaspora to bring the most innovative, efficient, cost effective healthcare solutions to India."

AAPI has organised seven Indo-US Global Healthcare Summits so far and has developed strategic alliances with various organisations. Based in Chicago, the organization was established in the year 1984 and claims a membership of around 52,000 physicians.
