Bangalore: The son of a rich software engineer, this young philosophy student from Brown University was last seen by his parents and two siblings on the sixteenth of March in his blue jeans, black jacket, glasses and a woolen hat. We do not know what triggered it but this was the day that this twenty two year old had disappeared, with his wallet and cell phone left behind. And now, putting an end to this one month long mystery, Tripathi has been found dead in Rhode Island River.

Immediately, after his missing, the concerned family reached out for help from the public through the social media.

Having earlier gone through a phase of depression, he had to take leave from the University, previous year. This is a source of further worry to the family which had also received a note left behind with suicidal intentions.

Having grown up in Bryn Mawr, Pa, Tripathi had been residing in Providence for the past five years. A talented saxophonist, he was known to be a gentle and shy young man.

“Sunil is a kind, gentle, and shy young man. All we want is for him to return safe and well,” his family had written on the Facebook page, as reported by metro.us.com.

“He’s very quiet, he’s very private, he’s very intellectual,” Tripathi’s mother, Judy told the New York Times in an interview last week. “He admitted to some depression, but he said that he could figure it out, he could handle it.”, as reported by the firstpost.com.
