Xiaomi to Launch Mi Band 2 along with Mi Max Phablet and MIUI 8


BENGALURU: The popularity of fitness bands is growing everyday and has revolutionized the fitness activities. Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi recently revamped the race of fitness tracking bands and is all set to launch its Mi Band 2 fitness tracker. The company will be launching Mi Band 2 along with Mi Max phablet and MIUI 8 at Beijing National Convention Center on May 10.

Mi Band 2 will have a similar design like its predecessor Mi Band 1S. Reportedly, it will have a LED display and a physical button on the right side to view various health-centric data on the screen. The display will show time and battery status coupled with daily progress, heart rate and other statistics as reported by GSM Arena.

If the rumors are to be believed, Mi Max is a phablet with a big 6.4-inch display. But the picture of the device posted by Xiaomi on its official twitter and Weibo accounts suggest that it can fit inside a jeans pocket. According to the tech website—GFX Benchmark, the phone is powered by 6.0.1 Android Marshmallow Operating System. Equipped with Adreno 510 GPU, Mi Max has 16-mega pixel rear and 5-mega pixel front facing cameras. The phone has 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal memory coupled with Qualcomm Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor. Mi Max front panel design is similar to the Xiaomi Mi 5 with a ceramic home-button for finger print scanning.
