Gionee Marathon M5 Launched With 6020mAh Battery


BENGALURU: By sensing the need of higher battery life smartphones, the Chinese brand ‘Gionee’ has come up with a ground breaking smartphone and its battery life can dumbfound any customer who is in immediate need of smartphone with higher battery potential.

The Gionee Marathon M5 is the phone that is launched in India and in the contrast of the older version, which featured 2 GB ram, the latest variant features 3 GB ram and is backed by a huge 6020mAh battery.

The company claims that, if the respective Smartphone is fully charged, it should last for four days. This development by the company seems to broken the trend of the 3000 mAh battery.

The another significant option that the phone features is that it can be converted into a power bank, thus any USB devices can be charged through it and also added with extreme mode, under which the standby time of the phone shall be boosted up to 5 percent.

Speaking about the specs, the phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop which is based on Amigo 3.1, powered by the 4g LTE connectivity and 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC is featuring with 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) Amoled display.

The phone is also equipped with 32 GB inbuilt memory in Indian version and 16 GB in the global version, which can be extended up to 128 GB with Micro SD card. Further, it sports, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. Country CEO and MD, Gionee India, Arvind R. Vohra, said "Short battery life is the main point of all consumers across the world. So we took upon ourselves a mission to change that."
