Zuckerberg, Gates, Urge Schools To Teach Coding

Bangalore: Mark Zuckerberg, Bill gates, Jack Dorsey and other tech luminaries urge schools to teach coding.

Titled "What most schools don't teach," the 5 minute video which was released online, features the tech luminaries like Gates and Zuckerberg talking about their first encounter with coding, and urging schools to teach coding. The video was part of a new computer science-education nonprofit website, Code.org, founded by Partovi twin brothers, Ali and Hadi.

The goal of the online video campaign is to encourage parents to demand more schools to teach computer programming - a potentially lucrative skill that "equalizes opportunity" but is only available to a fraction of U.S. high school students, Hadi Partovi said, reports NDTV GADGET.

The twin duo made good name in tech world after they sold companies to Microsoft and News Corp's MySpace.  They also tap the rare connections to invest early on in Facebook, Dropbox and Zappos.
