Bangalore: Technology has always walked hand in hand with money. Tech people have ruled top spots in Billionaires list over the last decade and we see technology creating instant billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Mark Pincus of Zynga. These techies never went after money, after all great innovations are always rewarded with great wealth.

Most of them held a portion of stocks in the companies they founded or employed. Bloomberg has released its latest billionaire’s index, which updates based on the fluctuations in stock market everyday and here we list the 10 richest people in technology today.

#10 Paul Allen – $14.8 Billion

Co founder, Microsoft

Allen lost about 47.2 million today estimated by the drop in share market. In additional to his co founder status, Allen also has a multibillion dollar investment portfolio and stakes in many technology, media and content companies. He was the 57^th richest man in the world last year.

#9 Michael Dell- $14.9 Billion

CEO, Dell

Michael’s wealth is down by $193 million today. He owns 12 percent ownership of Dell inc. and has an investment of around $10 billion in many companies. He was the 44^th richest person in the world last year.
